The October eZine is dedicated to WHEN FALL FADES, a new genre crossing romantic mystery novel from The Girl Next Door series by Amy Leigh Simpson, scheduled for release October 30th. I don’t know if it’s the ingrained influence of the school-semester schedule or the weather, but I always seem to read more during the Fall months.

WHEN FALL FADES is the perfect book to curl up with as the warm embrace of Summer retreats into distant memory and the crisp cool of Autumn brings an urgency to the landscape. Here in Colorado, October always feels more like early Winter than Fall. Halloweens are somewhat stifled by turtlenecks and mittens and puffy parkas; the ski resorts are rushing to offer the earliest open runs.

Our list of talent just keeps expanding; this Fall we have signed mystery fiction author, William Florence (check out his piece in our featured blogs). We will be releasing RAPTOR’S RIDGE, the first book in his Max Blake mystery series about a journalist turned private detective early this Winter.

For our true crime fans, we have signed two new authors with books scheduled for release over the next few months. First will be Michael Streed’s SketchCop, which is a true life account of his work as a police sketch artist. We will also be releasing HANGED MAN by Stephen Parks–more info on Stephen to come!

Burl Barer in Walla Walla

Burl Barer is in Walla Walla, Washington in anticipation of the release of his classic mystery novel, HEADLOCK, through WildBlue Press this Fall.

Burl will be corresponding over the next few months via the WildBlue Press blog and videos from the road.
