On the Horizon at WildBlueThis Fall was heavy with mystery. We released three mystery novels: PITFALL by Cameron Bane, IDENTITY CRISIS by Debbi Mack and WHEN FALL FADES by Amy Leigh Simpson. If you are one of the many readers who got caught up in our mystery releases this Fall, you will be pleased to know that PITFALL, IDENITY CRISIS and WHEN FALL FADES are each the first book in a series. We will keep you aprised of any new development in the John Brenner, Sam McRae and Girl Next Door series. In other good news for mystery fans, we have just signed Richard Godwin, acclaimed mystery/noir author from the UK whose works include: Apostle Rising, Mr. Glamour, One Lost Summer, Noir City, Meaningful Conversations, Confessions Of A Hit Man and more! WildBlue Press will be releasing Richard’s SAVAGE HIGHWAY, a mystery set on a remote highway in Arizona. When women start disappearing at truck stops along this lonely route, Journalist Johnny Sullivan travels to the area to investigate. What he uncovers in the process is a shocking web of corruption and abuse that permeates every part of the surrounding community. For our true crime fans who have been feeling neglected, we have exciting releases coming this Winter. First will be SketchCop by Michael Streed, a real life forensic sketch artist who has spent his career “drawing the line against crime”. Follow Michael’s link in our featured blogs to learn how he helped to determine the resolution of the notorious 1962 prison break from Alcatraz State Penitentiary by convicts Frank Morris and Anglin brothers, John and Clarence. Our next true crime release will be ICE AND BONE by Emmy award winning journalist, Monte Francis. Set in Alaska, ICE AND BONE is the chilling true account of how a demented murderer initially evaded police and avoided conviction only to slip back into the shadows and kill again. It would take two women detectives to team up and put this merciless killer behind bars. Our third true crime release has all of the psychological suspense and intrigue of thriller but comes out of the real life story of the author, former Army Ranger and convicted felon Stephen Parkes who found a second chance at life after hanging himself in prison. Readers who subscribe for our free membership will receive the publication once a month, granting them access to exclusive content from authors and experts in our expanding genres, as well as advanced notice of contests and giveaways. Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already! Coming soon to WildBlue Press Our first Winter release will be HEADLOCK: A Jeff Reynolds Mystery by acclaimed true crime and crime-fiction author Burl Barer. In HEADLOCK, a paranoid recluse lures private eye author Jeff Reynolds into a complex web of deception, where delusions are deadly, life after death can be hell, and all roads lead to the McFeely Tavern. The decision to republish HEADLOCK was a no brainer for us given the wiley talents of Burl Barer and all of the acclaim HEADLOCK has recieved in the past. “A brilliant piece of contemporary literature “hiding out” as a private eye novel…I think Barer is up to something.” – Prof. Gerry Graber Below Burl describes how he came to write his mystery HEADLOCK Catch up with the WHEN FALL FADES lunch party recap Julia Reffnet | Upcoming ReleasesHEADLOCK This PI mystery set in Walla Walla Washington will be released December 22 2015.
