D K McLaughlin formerly worked in Molecular Genetics and Genomics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and is a licensed massage therapist at night. But writing is her first love, and now she does it full-time.
In the author’s own words,
Who wouldn’t love reading a steamy romance novel, with handsome alpha men and in interesting geographic locations? I know I do.”
She began writing fiction as an adolescent while living with her parents and siblings in Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa. Her earliest inspiration was the novel Lorna Doone by RD Blackmore, which she discovered while being homeschooled in Ghana. A few of her current favorite authors are Nora Roberts, IT Lucas, and Olivia Thorn. She writes from North Carolina, where she lives with her own handsome alpha husband.
