If you're interested in learning what our current authors (many NY Times Bestsellers, Edgar winner, Pulitzer Prize winner), as well as agents we have worked with, think about us, then read the right sidebar for some of their testimonials.

Watch this short video for an introduction to who we are and what we do for authors.

ACCEPTED GENRES

Our current genre emphasis is:

  • True Crime Books
  • Biography/Memoir

Although we accept manuscripts in the following genres:

  • Thriller
  • History
  • Sci-Fi/Fantasy
  • Mystery
  • Romance

If your manuscript is accepted, we usually respond with a publishing agreement within a couple weeks. If your manuscript is not accepted, we will contact you within 6 weeks at the latest.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Transparent Publishing Agreement: Our publishing agreement is thoroughly transparent and has undergone meticulous review by over 300 authors, dozens of agents, and dozens of attorneys, ensuring clarity and fairness for our authors.

No out-of-pocket expenses for authors: Our low production costs come entirely from royalties post-publication and are shared between the author and WildBlue Press. If we accept your title, you will never pay up front. If the book doesn't sell as well as we anticipated, you owe WildBlue Press nothing. The risk is entirely on us.

High Royalty Percentages: We offer royalty rates that consistently meet or exceed those provided by traditional publishers and other indie publishers. We issue royalty reports six months after publication and initiate royalty payments at that point if the balance due is more than $100.

Multiple Formats: Our titles are published in paperback, hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats, with distribution through Amazon and Ingram, making your work available for purchase at Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, Books A Million, bookstores, and libraries as well. This is four different products being sold across many networks for one manuscript.

Massive Distribution: Our print, eBooks, and audiobooks are distributed by stalwart 3rd party majors  in the industry who place your title in most of the major retailers, and they run constant promos for them.

  • Our paperbacks and hardcover copies are available at Amazon and all retailers that IngramSpark distributes to such as bookstores, libraries, Barnes&Noble, Walmart, Target, Books A Million, bookstores, and libraries as well. See below for more about this.
  • We distribute audiobooks (at a minimum) via Audible, Amazon, and Apple. Depending on the audiobook's viability and acceptance by our audiobook distribution partners, they'll go out to 35+ other retailers through our audiobook distribution partners, Blackstone Media or Tantor Media.
For recent titles we have seen that audiobooks have resulted in more than 50% of total sales, so we emphasize the importance of producing a high-quality audiobook to maximize your royalties. And we take care of all of this for you.
  • We distribute eBooks via Open Road Media, an industry giant: After we publish the eBook, and after sales have settled down, we hand the marketing and sales to our partner Open Road Media which is an eBook marketing juggernaut, with automated systems to maximize the sales of your eBooks. Their marketing efforts also result in more sales across all other formats.

In-House Agent: We have an in-house literary agent dedicated to assisting you with movie/TV rights, and foreign language rights if your book has that potential.

Quality-Centric Approach: We prioritize the quality of the end product, meticulously overseeing every step of the publishing process. Our award-winning team offers the best editors in the industry (see sidebar comments), professional book cover designs, outstanding interior design and formatting, and meticulous copyediting services to ensure that the overall quality and appeal of your work will meet the highest standards in the industry.

Author Involvement: Our authors actively participate in all production aspects, from contributing book cover design ideas to editing and marketing their work, ensuring their creative vision is fully realized.

Captive Audience, AI Assisted: We integrate the authors' followers and audience into our network, aligning our promotional efforts with theirs. Our social media efforts are collaborative and incorporate the most effective state-of-the-art AI tools. Our dedicated book title page on the WildBlue Press website is a powerful platform to share and maximize your exposure to a broader audience.

Comprehensive Support: Throughout the publishing journey, we offer extensive support including all aspects of book publishing including cover design, marketing content creation and editing, promotions and marketing, sales, accounting, royalty management, and equipping our authors with the essential tools for success, such as providing them with a comprehensive document describing how they can support the sales and marketing effort. Our commitment to ongoing title and author support extends beyond the typical "here today, gone tomorrow" approach of many publishers.

Expedited Production Timeline: The time between receiving the completed manuscript (ready for editing) and publication can be as short as four months, possibly sooner, depending on the manuscript's condition.

Top-Notch Online Marketing: Our online marketing, advertising, and social media efforts reach out to the most targeted audiences on the Internet to encourage author participation, ensuring your book reaches its target audience effectively.

A NOTE TO NEW AUTHORS

At WildBlue Press, we champion authors at every stage, from newcomers to bestsellers. Our rigorous selection process ensures promising stories reach publication. Once accepted, our advanced tools and expert staff focus on creating the best product that it can be, then on  reaching your ideal audience and influencers. Each project benefits from our extensive network of distribution partners, media connections (podcast reviewers, book reviewers), and marketing channels. Join WildBlue Press for a lasting and impactful literary journey.
