Recently, fans of Sylvester Stallone speculated in a Facebook group dedicated to the Italian Stallion whether his popular TV show, Tulsa King, would return for a second season. However, Stallone has other projects he is more interested in pursuing, such as a film adaptation of James Byron Huggins' 2018 release, HUNTER. Stallone has already put HUNTER into pre-production and discussed the project further in a December 2022 interview with Sharpmagazine.com, saying he wanted to make it into a streaming series that would be something like the classic action films Rambo, Rocky, early Charles Bronson, and Dirty Harry.
Over at SZ, Sly wrote this yesterday: “I am not certain I want to do another Season.... I achieved my goal of playing a GANGSTER with a different twist, and still have some unfinished business to attend too, like HUNTER, SAMARITAN 2, A screenplay I wrote many years ago, a GREAT true story CHEERFUL CHARLIE, And a terrifying novel called BY REASON OF INSANITY and of course Direct POE”
This is great news for the entertainment industry. Stallone's decision to focus on other projects shows his commitment to the craft of filmmaking. He is taking the time to create films that he is passionate about and that's something to be admired. Huggins has seen a lot of success in the industry, making Stallone's decision to work with him a testament to his dedication to the craft. Huggins is an international bestselling thriller writer whose works include Tom Clancy, Rambo, First Blood, and Dracula-type thrillers and science fiction. We're all excited to see HUNTER listed as being in pre-production on IMDb!
