Burl Barer returns to the scene of the crime in preparation for the Wild Blue Press publication of his rave-reviewed private eye novel, HEADLOCK, which takes place in Walla Walla, Washington.
“This PI novel is not based on real people or real cases,” insists Barer, “You know, just like on Law and Order.”
In other words, there are real people pretending to be fictional characters in this book, and fictional characters acting as if real — what do you expect? This is FICTION — inspired by true events that may or may not have happened.
“I promise to take you to where all the fiction actually never happened,” insists Barer. “This will be a video blog to treasure for decades.”
Meanwhile, award winning film director Matthew “Son of Cinema” Berkowitz wants to make a motion picture adaptation of MAN OVERBOARD: The Counterfeit Resurrection of Phil Champagne. Internationally acclaimed writer and former convict Daniel Genis is crafting a treatment, and producer Geno Escarrega (China Beach) is chasing down funding. Keep your fingers crossed.
