Caitlin Rother Radio Interview: The Hazards of Investigative Journalism

upcoming book, THEN NO ONE CAN HAVE HER, had me on the radio for an hour on Tuesday, July 21, and got me going on my favorite soapbox and hot-button topics. We talked about the state of journalism today and the difference between real journalism and talking-head commentary. He asked me if I’d ever been threatened during or after controversial stories I’ve written and I told him about the series that led me to have an armed guard in my driveway to watch over me from sunset to sunrise for a whole week. In that vein, we also talked about the controversy and personal/professional attacks I endured after the publication of LOST GIRLS, and some of the exclusive and alarming facts I uncovered during my investigative research for that book.
