FIELDS OF FORTUNE: 'Viking Farmers In America is a captivating take on history by Robert Dodge, which reflects on the immigrant experience of a Norwegian family. The book tells the story of the family's immigration journey from 1853 through WWII. In the book, we encounter hopeful and nervous Norwegians who leave their homeland to seek a better life in America, a place they only knew through second-hand tales of freedom. Through meticulous research and narrative biography, Robert Dodge brings to life the story of the Norwegian immigrants and their experiences as 'Viking' Farmers in America.
