I had never written about Bloodhounds before writing ICE AND BONE, and what I discovered astonished me. The dogs were able to pick up Wade’s scent two whole weeks AFTER he had used the ATM card of one of his victims. This video, which the FBI shared with me, picks up as a dog named … [Read more...]

The interview appears in Chapter 40 of ICE AND BONE. What you obviously can’t see is Wade’s reaction when Agent Thoreson claims they “talked to Mindy.” Both Agent Thoreson and Detective Perrenoud, who were in the room, told me that a devious smirk came over Wade’s face: From Chapter … [Read more...]

VAMPIRE Author Talks About “Why I Write True Crime”
Occasionally, folks will ask me why I write true crime. And without missing a beat, I always tell them that before I composed my first sentence describing the murder and mayhem that is such an ever-present reality on our planet, I’d been a student of these strange happenings for over three decades. You see, the first true crime book I ever read was Charles Franklin’s, The World’s Worst Murderers. It was 1965, I was ten years old, and I became … [Read more...]
True Crime Author Kevin Sullivan
Greetings fellow readers! My journey with the written word began very early in life. The first book I read (devoured actually) was Charles Franklin's, The World's Worst Murderers, published in 1965. Since I was only ten, it wasn't the kind of book that should have interested me, but it did. And despite having to stop occasionally to ask my mother the meaning of a particular word or two, within two weeks I closed the book with a distinct … [Read more...]
