About Terry Persun
I wanted to give you a wide scope of who I am and what I’ve done, and this seems to be the place to do that. Some of the jobs I’ve had: in-home repair of major appliances, airborne navigation systems repair (in the US Air Force), design engineering, magazine editor (from tech editor to editor in chief), marketing director, and now I run my own marketing services agency. All those years, I’ve been writing novels, short stories, and poetry—with multiple books and collections available.
I am married to Catherine Persun (who owns a nonprofit for retired show horses) and have three grown children.
WildBlue Press
My novels have won multiple awards in multiple genres, including a Star of Washington Award (mainstream fiction), a Book Excellence Award (science fiction), and a Silver IPPY Award (historical fiction). I continue to publish articles, essays, poems, and short stories.
With WildBlue Press, I’ve released The Right Thing, part of my Ten (Tempest Eugene Nesbit) series of high-tech mysteries. Other titles in the series include The Killing Machine, and The Humanzee Experiments. Each book is written as a stand-alone novel.
In the writing field, I’ve taught creative writing, publishing, and marketing at numerous conferences, libraries, and writers’ groups, as well as taught at low-residency MFA programs.
Continued Studies
I’ve completed training in conscious dreaming and shamanism with Robert Moss and Equine Assisted Learning with the Epona Center, and have studied Native American folklore for many years. I am a very eclectic reader and read several books at a time—fiction, poetry, and nonfiction in multiple fields. I am always excited to find new “favorite” authors to read.
